For the first time ever O'Dwyers fielded a second adult ladies team this evening in Breamore Park as we entertained Round Towers Lusk in the Cup. We took to the field with 14 Adult players and 2 players from the Minor panel. So big thanks to both Rebecca Heron and Shannon Kelly for helping us out. 

O'Dwyers played up the hill against the breeze in the first half. There was great spirit among the team and a great atmosphere amongst the ever reliable O'Dwyers supporters.  We defended well in the first half but struggled to transition the ball up the pitch. But a great team move and a powerful finish by our captain Dominka saw O'Dwyers trail by just 1 - 00 to 1 - 03 at half time.

Second half saw O'Dwyers close the gap to just 1 point before Round Towers scored another goal to stretch the lead again. But Our Ladies never gave up and kept fighting to the end. 

The real victory today was fielding a team. The fact that the team played so well means that the future for Adult Ladies football in O'Dwyers and Balbriggan is bright, very bright.
