A great win today for our junior hurlers against Na Gael Oga.

O’Dwyers fielded a team of minor, junior and ‘experienced’ players!

We started well with a hunger and desire that was exhibited throughout the half. From corner-back to corner-forward we fought for every ball, and then looked to impose ourselves on the opposition.

The reward for our efforts was a 4 point lead at half time.

We started the second half well, knocking over some good scores, but Na Gael Oga came back with several unanswered scores.

Our advantage on the scoreboard in peril, the team took control again with tenacity, skill and a relentless desire to win every ball. Scores from play came from several players and every time we got a free, Karl Behan put the sliotar over the bar.

Cathal O’Rourke, Padraic Kehoe and Ronan Coone popped up with goals during the game but the pick of the bunch was Cian Bolger-Hayes with an instinctive pull on a mid-air sliotar to almost burst the back of the net.
