12/03/22 Div 6 U16 Hurling

O'Dwyers v Kilmacud Crokes

We started slowly today with Kilmacud getting a goal and 2 points before O'Dwyers got our first point on the board. We pushed on and took a 2 goal lead mid way through the first half. But good play and some fine scores from Crokes saw them go in at half time with a 5 point lead.

We moved John & Callum from 6 & 11 into midfield and switched Jamie into nets which all led to us winning possession from kick outs at both ends of the pitch. We took full advantage of the extra possession to get some great scores by Callum, Sean, Pádraig, Julian, Jack N & Cian. If I missed anyone, I apologise, I need a stats person 😄 Daire was a colossus at centre back winning his 1 v 1, turning over possession and putting us on the front foot so many times. 

Each and every one of the lads gave 100% today. Big thanks goes to John, Julian & Daire who played for us today as their match was rained off. We hope to see Alex, Noel, Jack & Ryan back from injury and illness in time for our next match in 2 weeks time, when we travel away to play Thomas Ash in St Margrets .
