Today we had a positive start to our feile campaign. A well earned win over a tough Naomh Barrog side. We started very strong in the first half as we asked to boys to do. Some quality goals from Julian and some beautiful inter team play seen us going in at half time with the score 3-6 to 0-0.

With Naomh Barrog having the advantage of the wind in the second half we knew they would come back at us. We started having little injuries and tiredness came into play for us. As a squad we held strong and held our composure to see out the win with a final score of 4-9 to 3-3.

Special mentions go out to Cathal in goals who single handed saved our bacon with massive saves today. Padraig for coming into a new set up and gelling right in. Zack for taking on the role of #3. And John and Conor once again showed there dominance in midfield with strong defencive play and swift attacking runs.

And POTM went to Julian today who showed by example, scored when the chances were there and lovely assists too.

Special thanks to the U14's who came down to help, Anthony, Christopher and Alex, and well done to Alex on a lovely point.

A positive start to the season and just the reaction we asked for after the St Pats challenge game a few weeks back. We know where we need to work and we'll get right back to it this week in training.

For now, well done lads. And rest the bodies and niggles.
