To help club coaches & mentors through this difficult period, the Club's Coaching & Games Committee and have created a series of coach development sessions to take place over the coming weeks.
This we are delighted to welcome Dublin GAA’s Director of Coaching, Gerard O’Connor to the Club, presenting on ‘Creating the right environment / What makes effective coaches’
Ger hails from Co Tyrone has been involved in sports development for over 20 years and is currently working as the Director of Coaching within Dublin GAA where he is responsible for Coach education staff training and club development. He has coached and managed at every level from Nursery to Inter-county in both Football and Hurling.
Ger has played a leading role in the development and delivery of the GAA Coach Education Programme at a national level and is also a Master tutor with the Leinster Tutor group. Ger is the author and contributor to a series of articles and books which are among some of the best coaching resources in the sport.
The coaching webinar (via Zoom) takes place this Tuesday, February 2 at 8pm.
