Today we launch our Annual New Years Day swim, to raise funds to support local charities, this year we will be supporting Balbriggan Meals on Wheels
Balbriggan Meals on Wheels was founded in 1975 in order to provide meals for people who are ill, recovering from illness, or for some reason unable to care for themselves.
Balbriggan Meals on Wheels currently provides in the region of 80 meals per day, with meals delivered to the most vulnerable people in our community; people who are referred by Public Health Nurses and Social Workers. It is an essential service and requires all the support it can get; both in monetary terms and by means of the time that our volunteers contribute to keeping the service running.
The service relies heavily on funds raised and the generosity of the whole Balbriggan community.
