Our U13s restarted their Div 6 grading league today when they welcomed Na Fianna to Bremore Park.

We started on the front foot with a well-worked point straight from the throw-in and continued to pressure the Na Fianna defence without making a dent on the scoreboard. Na Fianna then grew into the game scoring 1-2 without reply before our lads started fighting back in the 2nd quarter to head in at the break 2-4 to 0-4 down.

Our first half cause was helped by some safe hands by our keeper Callum T and a lovely score by our returning full-forward Cathal. We had a bit of a purple patch at the start of the 2nd half after a big push from our midfield engine room allied with our half-back and half-forward lines and made it to the three quarter way stage trailing by 2pts.

On the resumption in the final quarter, we were caught on the hop by two quickfire Na Fianna goals and despite a huge effort from our lads scoring another 1-3, we were caught out on the break with Na Fianna scoring their killer 5th goal.

Final score was 3-7 to 5-5, a disappointing result but a huge performance by the lads, more than enough to give us hope going forward.
