With our club approaching 1000 members and nearly 50 teams, we have a requirement for a more efficient way of managing a modern-day club of our size. Following a review of a number of tools that are available in the marketplace that facilitated this, we are pleased to announce a new partnership with Irish Company ClubZap
- Download ClubZap from the relevant App store and Open
- Search for ‘O’Dwyers GAA’ in the club search
- Validate your installation by completing the form with your Name, Email & Phone Number
- If prompted enter the 6 digit validation code you received via text message

Return to play: Covid Officer Update
It has been a very busy couple of weeks since our return to play. I wanted to provide you with an overview of the steps that our club has put in place with GAA, LGFA and Camogie associations to ensure a secure environment for all.
- Every member and player have completed a mandatory elearning module
- Prior to Club participation every member provided an update Health Questionnaire and this is ongoing for every session
- Each club team has an appointed Covid Supervisor in place to ensure adherence to Club health policies
- Track & Trace adherence for every player is in place
- HSE & GAA facility recommendations are fully adhered too
- We have sanitisation points at the main pitches
- A medical isolation room in place
- Shared and team equipment is sanitised after each session
- Reduced training period & team pod isolation in place via One Way systems in club
- Adult teams are temporarily training on Bells pitches only
- Social distancing and Good personal Hygiene guidelines are regularly communicated and adhered too.
- Regular communication process with Covid Supervisors on Team mentors on changes in policies
We have followed all the GAA protocols and are adhering to the latest updates, GAA commentary is that it is 19 times more unlikely that you will contract COVID while playing sports and outdoors as it is to be in an enclosed space.
So as long as we all continue to work together, we will keep everyone Safe while enjoying our sports
Player Membership
We have conducted a membership review for the 2020 season and the paid membership levels are extremely low versus what we expect. The club appreciates that there was a significant interruption to our season. However the majority of our teams are now back training and competitive games coming up.
We as a club need to ensure that every player and active member has paid their membership in full to ensure that they can play/train and are covered by insurance to play. All payment options will remain in place for the full year to facilitate installment payments and membership can be paid online via Club website or in the Club on Sat morning between 11 and 1

Skill Weeks 11
Bookings for the Skills Weeks has ended. Preparations are underway to provide a fun-filled week(s) for our young players. We are proposing to manage our skills week via our new club app called ClubZap. Once we receive all the applications we will then be able to put everyone into their perspective groups and communicate with everyone via the app.

- U11s (Boys & Girls Born 2009): On Tuesday 28th August 2 O'Dwyers U11 teams took to the fields in Stamullen to play St. Pat's in Gaelic Football. Both teams played with commitment, passion, enthusiasm and confidence. Great evenings football was had by all. Training continues this week with Gaelic Football sessions scheduled for 7pm in the All Weather on Tuesday and 6pm in Bremore on Friday. Next Saturday U11s are playing Whitehall Colmcille in Bremore @11am in both Hurling & Gaelic Football. If any new player is interested in joining the U11s please contact Ronan @ 0872209497.

Club Shop
Our club shop is open every Saturday morning between 11am and 12pm with a stock of club tops, bottoms, hurls, helmets, gum shields, socks and shorts. The shop has new hurls and helmets for sale. If anybody has a helmet they would like to trade-in or not using please bring it down to the club shop.
Support our Sponsors and Local Business
Support local businesses and our sponsors - O’Dwyers GAA, like so many clubs across the country, rely on the support of local businesses throughout the year. The last few months have been extremely difficult for businesses in Balbriggan. As companies reopen we encourage our members and friends to shop local and help get Balbriggan going again. Lotto
Our Club Lotto will make its eagerly-awaited return on Monday 10th August. The jackpot which has been carried forward from our last draw will be 1600 euro!
Our lotto provides a greatly needed source of income to the club which as we all know, we have been without since March. We would encourage all our neighbours and friends to play our lotto either at our new designated lotto point behind the checkouts in SuperValu or online on our website www.odwyersgaa.com
