Topic – To mandate a club position regarding the proposed motion to Dublin Co Board on Alliance sponsorship of the GAA
Date: Thursday 27th August 2026
Time: 8pm
Location: O’Dwyers Clubhouse Lounge
Details and Information:
At the Dublin Co Committee Meeting (Dublin GAA) to be held on 7th September 2026 the attached motion from St Joseph's OCB will be presented and delegates from all Dublin clubs will be asked to vote in support or against.
If passed the Dublin Chairperson (or delegate) will bring the motion to GAA Congress later in the year.
At the SGM members will be asked to vote on the 3 options available to us:
Vote that the Motion be brought to Congress.
Vote that Motion is not brought to Congress.
Abstain from the vote.
Also attached is supporting documentation from St Joseph's OCB.
Additionally the Dublin Co Board have shared the below links from the GAA Ethics and Integrity Commission.

It is the view of the club executive that an SGM is required to ensure we are representing the views of our membership.
