Purpose of This Guideline
This guideline sets out best practice for the smooth running of O’Dwyers GAA Club facilities, ensuring strong principles of juvenile safeguarding compliance and the enjoyment of our club facilities by all members.
Club Opening Hours
Club opening hours are aligned with facility activities and may be subject to seasonal adjustment.
Sports Area & Playing Facilities
- Monday – Sunday: 8:00am – 9:00pm
Social / Bar Area
- Friday: 7:00pm – 11:30pm
- Saturday: 8:00am – 11:30pm
- Sunday: 2:00pm – 11:30pm
Best Practice Guidelines
FAC001 – No Smoking Policy
O’Dwyers GAA Club, as a Healthy Club, operates a strict No Smoking policy. This applies to all clubhouse facilities and pitches.
Visitors are encouraged to use the designated smoking facilities located at the main entrance.

FAC002 – No Dogs Policy
O’Dwyers GAA Club operates a strict No Dogs policy to ensure the enjoyment of our facilities for juvenile members and to protect members with allergies.
Only working or guide dogs are permitted in any part of O’Dwyers Bremore Park.

FAC003 – Training Room Usage
Use of the training room is restricted to:
- Over 18s only, or
- Over 16s with adult or coach supervision

FAC004 – Main Pitch Usage
Use of the Main Pitch (Pitch 2) is strictly limited to scheduled matches or training sessions.
Individual training sessions are not permitted, nor is access through the pitch to the ball wall.

Members may use Pitch 1 or Pitch 3, subject to availability.

FAC005 – Access Outside Opening Hours
Access outside published club opening hours is not permitted.
Any breaches will be addressed through the club disciplinary process.

FAC006 – Care of Club Facilities
Members using any club facility are expected to return it in the same condition as received, including:
- Facilities left clean and locked
- Equipment returned to designated storage locations
- Juvenile goals returned to their designated areas

FAC007 – Restricted Access Areas
The following areas are restricted and accessible only to approved staff:
- Club bar area
- Club kitchen
- Cleaning rooms
- Club storerooms (upstairs and downstairs)
Tea and coffee facilities for meetings must be requested at the time of booking. A charging model will apply for tea and coffee via the bar.
Coach meetings will continue to receive tea and coffee free of charge, when requested.

FAC008 – Club Television Equipment
Any modification or tampering with club televisions is not permitted.

FAC009 – Indoor Hurling
Indoor hurling is permitted only in the sports hall and only with rubber hurls or approved modified hurls to prevent damage to flooring.

FAC010 – Sports Hall Floor Protection
Protective floor covering is required for:
- Dance events
- Facility rentals
- Any non-sporting activities within the sports hall
