The facilities officer role and sub committees is a key role within the club and will be increasingly important as we transition into our new development. The key activities can be split into three key areas which should have a lead for the Facilities officer to liaise and coordinate with. Scroll to the end of text to see two flyers about this role.

Roles include :
**Pitch Maintenance**
•Machinery such as grass mowers are used only by authorised and experienced personnel in line with the club fixture calendar 

•Management and oversight/ planning of the Pitch maintenance programme by 3rd party supplier(s) - Bremore Park and ensure high level of maintenance for other club satellite locations

•Ensure programme of works for maintenance and upkeep of non-pitch areas via CE workers

•Support with game scheduling and be the owner of the decision process for pitch availability and readiness 

•Support school game coordination & planning 
Facilities

•All equipment and machinery is securely locked away when not in use

•The premises are properly secured when not in use and not available for any ad hoc activities

•Third party contractors do not commence work of any kind unless evidence of insurance and safety legislation compliance is forthcoming. In his absence the Facilities Officer Chairman will request a member of the Facilities Committee to deputise

•Any incursion or unauthorised entry is prevented and, if unable to prevent such, will report such incursion to An Garda Síochána

•Waste and refuse are managed and collected by the appropriate agency

•A fully-equipped First Aid Kit is available on site at all times

***General***
•A fully-equipped First Aid Kit is available on site at all times

•Oversight and management of CE workers, volunteers or club staff  ( non commercial ) in planning and execution of duties

•Ensure club premises are available and securely locked up after events and good security controls in place for club  ( oversight of key holders  - CE Worker shift coverage ) 

•Support with coordination of large sporting games/ events - Adult games, blitz - Facilities readiness and coordination ( parking ) 

•Alignment with Finance sub committee for staffing ( commercial ) and planning 

•Financial plan and monthly activity reporting for finance and work package scheduling 

***Estimated Effort***
•Dependant on structure ideally the Facilities officer effort should be between 4-5hours per week but may vary depending on requirements
