On Saturday last, our Intermediate team travelled to play Ranelagh Gaels in the Intermediate Championship relegation play off.
Facing the breeze in the first half the lads controlled the tempo of the game and led convincingly thanks to goals from Julian Kearney with a brilliant soccer style finish and a delicate flick from Mossy. Our forward movement was brilliant throughout the hour, but it was the balance around the middle third that saw the lads finish out 4.10 to 0.07 winners.
Congratulations to the lads and commiserations to Ranelagh Gaels, who will bounce back. This year has been a strong year for the lads, where they only lost 2 league games to gain promotion to div. 3 and while the championship brought more downs than ups, it’s important to recognise another huge milestone on their journey.
