Based on the interest in this shown by our members , we are going to go ahead with our next health and wellbeing idea.
We are going to arrange for a nurse from the healthy heart foundation to come to the club to take ECG readings for 14-45 year olds, Saturday the 8th February.
The reading takes 5 mins and can detect SAD (Sudden Adult Death syndrome) a common cause of death in young people in Ireland and globally. This test can detect abnormalities in the heart and the results are read by a professional cardiologist. If there are any concerns from these results, a free referral is given. All of this costs eur50 and can be paid on the day directly to the nurse.
