Balbriggan Meals on Wheels provides meals for people who are ill, recovering from a serious illness, or for some reason are unable to provide meals for themselves. Balbriggan Meals Ltd still provides meals to the most vulnerable people in our community; they are people who are referred to us by Public Health Nurses and Social Workers.
We currently cater for an average of 100 meals six days a week.
As well as cooking and delivering meals, we host a Dinner Club three mornings per week which provides an important social outlet to our clients.
Balbriggan Meals on Wheels is an essential voluntary service that requires all the support it can get and depends heavily on fundraising and donations. We appreciate all the help we get from members of the local community. Food donated to recent Food Drives is distributed to our clients in the form of Food Hampers.
Balbriggan Meals on Wheels always welcomes new Volunteers. If you have an hour or so free each week perhaps you would consider volunteering with us… Drive to deliver our meals; help in the kitchen; assist our fundraisers etc.
