Hi all,

we had a brilliant day on Thursday down at the Bracken Court Hotel, with our juvenile awards in the morning, followed by our adult and minor awards later on. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, and for contributing to the great atmosphere.


Congratulations to all of our award winners and nominees. The young sportsperson of the year, the young club person of the year (Helen Baneham trophy) and Gradam na nÓg are juvenile awards. Please see the list of these below:


•Club person of the year

Nominees: Aidan Smith, Denise Corcoran, Mick Blount, Aisling Gibbons, Leah Brady, Janice O’Rourke, Barry O’Donnell, Mick Hughes, Graham Basset , Paul Finn, Dolores Mooney, Anto Conway, Stephen Richardson, Karen Heron.


Winner: Janice O’Rourke.

Congratulations to Janice who was selected on the basis of her fundraising efforts and volunteering in the club !


•Helen Baneham trophy- young club person of the year

Nominees: Shannon Byrne, Elsa Kearney, Noah Lyons, Callum Johnston, Rebecca Heron, Pádraig Maher, Emma Dowling, Jodie Kelly, Sarah Barlow, Áine Blount, Holly O’Rourke, Niamh Orange.


Winner: Noah Lyons

Well done Noah!! Great to see Noah’s hard work and volunteering being recognised as he follows in his father Ger’s footsteps🎉


•Sportsperson of the year

Nominees: Arron Keenan, Aoife Curran, Mickey Cullen, James Foran, Damo Prout, Stephen Richardson, Sean Rogers, Ger Lyons, Pádraic Kehoe, Erica Byrne, Dylan Andrews, Lee Fanning, Danny Kelly, Shannon Richardson, Graham Basset.


Winner: Mickey Cullen

Very well deserved for his great work with the u13 girls this year, we are delighted for you🎉


•Young sportsperson of the year

Nominees: Cathal O’Rourke, Conor Mulvey , Pádraig Maher , Callum Johnston, Elsa Kearney, Noel Morris , Seán Richardson , Dillon O’Neill , Rachel Casey.


Winner: Cathal O’Rourke

Congratulations to Cathal, well deserved after some super performances this year including scoring an outrageous goal to bring the minor championship final to extra time👏🏼


Gradam na nÓg (a new award that recognises a juvenile who makes a significant effort with the Irish language and cultural activities)

Winner: Emma Hughes

Fantastic stuff Emma. Brilliant to see our young members embracing all of our culture activities at all times. Well deserved.


•Overall player of the year

Nominees: Dylan Andrews, Elsa Kearney, Cormac McClean

Winner: Dylan Andrews

A very deserving recipient who played very well for the mens’ first team this year following an injury at the start of the summer, showing great effort to recover.


•Achievers of the year

Nominees: Adult mens’ football, U13 boys and girls, Mens’ 1st team, u13 girls’ management, minor boys football team, mens’ 1st team management, Aisling Gibbons, Senior ladies 1st team, fundraising committee, minor ladies, ‘Culture babes’ Broadway team, Sarah Barlow , adult hurlers.

Well done to all for their super efforts at all times 🙌🏼we now look forward to making our big move across the road in 2024


•Culture award:

Nominees: Scór set dancers, Broadway ‘Culture Babes’ group , Scór na nÓg quiz team


Winner: Scór set dancers

Well done guys👏🏼 Senior Scór Dublin Set Dancing champions. Ranging in age from 22-82, this team encompases what a club is about.


•A special recognition award was also presented to Ger Lyons at our juvenile awards ceremony, in celebration of his coaching success at both club and county level. This year , Ger was part of the Dublin mens’ coaching team when they won the All Ireland. It was fantastic to see Ger being presented this award with many of our future stars looking up to him.


•Father Hasset award for long service to the club

Nominees: Tom Devoy, Dick Burke, Freda Smith, Paul Finn, Liam Howley, Denise Corcoran, Ger Lyons, Aoife Curran, Stephen Richardson, Dolores Mooney, Aidan Smith, club shop runners, Janice O’Rourke, Niamh Kirby.
