Championship Play off - mens’ 1st team- Man O'War
On Sunday, we welcomed our neighbours Man O'War to Bremore for our championship play off. Both teams had already qualified for the quarter finals but this game was to determine who would get home advantage in the quarter finals. The early stages of the game were pretty even but as the half progressed Man O'War found it easier to get scores while our lads were not converting their chances. A goal from Arron in the second quarter sparked more life into our play and we finished out the half strongly.
Unfortunately, the second half turned out to be a disappointing 30 mins as we didn't play to our potential, gifting our opponents scores at critical stages which made it extremely difficult to get back into the game. To the lads credit, they tried hard to rescue the game and created lots of chances but it wasn't to be our day.
Score:
O'Dwyer's 1.09
Man O'War 1.15
We now face an away quarter final in 2 weeks against Craobh Chiaran.
During the game, there were a couple of injuries to players on both sides and we particularly wish Lee Fanning and the Man O'War midfielder Seán Hussey a speedy recovery.
